One of our most imaginative fundraising events to date was a Progressive Supper held on 6th September 2014 and organised by Julie Bailey and Helen Cole.
100 people met at Radnage Village Hall, for pre-dinner drinks and whilst there, each couple was given an envelope revealing where they would dine. (You don’t know who you will be cooking for or where you will be dining until you open your envelope). Everyone then sets off to their respective hosts for:
- a starter, then “Progress” (hence the name) for
- a main course at another house (and another group of people) and
- at 10pm everyone “progresses” back to the Village Hall for A Pudding Party!
Are you all with me so far? This amazing feat takes months to organise and has been going for 25 years. Should anyone want to try their hand at organising a supper of their own then Julie is happy to help. The total amount raised for the Foundation was a staggering £1320 Well Done and Thank You to all that that participated.
Alexander Jansons Foundation also managed to “ light up the sky” on 1st November with the best dressed GUY you have even seen:
1. Hugo Boss Tie
2. Levi 501 jeans
3. Ted Baker Jacket
4. Armani Shirt
N.B. OUR AJF TSHIRT DID NOT END UP ON THE BONFIRE!
Just before Guy was set alight – minus the t shirt.
AJF was well respresented at this event and once again a big thank you to all those who got involved.
